Mechanical design project

• Objective – Design a stainless steel flange fitting to install liquid sensor in oil tank with factored industrial connector assembly. Complete with technical drawings for manufacturing.

One of my last but favourite projects under Cynergy3 Components, the brief was to develop a multi-piece adaptor to allow the customer to fit an oil sensor through the side of their tank, with a Harting heavy duty connector fitted.

Overall dimensions such as tank wall thickness and flange fitting requirements were provided, but development and design was handled by myself. The flange and couple arrangement were also reduced from the intiial idea of using three machined pieces to only two.
